Dr Bernard Jensen
Bernard Jensen was diagnosed with an incurable condition when he was only 18 years old and was told that medical science could offer him no hope. Unwilling to give up, he sought the help of a physician who taught him the basics of proper nutrition, pulled him off all junk foods and placed him on a natural food diet. He also practiced breathing exercises and his health steadily improved. Because nature offered him a cure when medical science could do nothing he determined to learn all he could about natural healing.
He studied iridology, bowel care and the use of nutrition, diets, supplements and enemas with Dr Max Gerson (who devised the Gerson Therapy) amongst many other natural health practitioners. Dr Jensen operated several health sanitariums in California. Over the years he received many honours and awards including 1982 National Health Federation's Pioneer Doctor of the Year award. He earned his Ph.D. at the age of 76 climaxing a lifetime of study, work and teaching in the healing arts. He lectured in 55 countries around the world and authored over 40 books on the subjects of natural health care and iridology.
