The low-cost Moulinex Yogurta has a number of really clever features. The pot lids can be manually set to show the 'use by' date. And the yoghurt maker cover is designed to hold the lids during operation. The markings (1 to 12) on the cover can be used to show the time when the yoghurts will be ready. All the parts, except the electric base, are dishwasher safe.

Good News for dairy-free yoghurt making! During our tests the yoghurt maker stayed within the narrow temperature range required for soya yoghurt culture to work. So this yoghurt maker is suitable for making soya and rice milk yoghurt as well as easy-to-make dairy yoghurt!

FROTHING THERMOMETER

TIP: When making soya or rice milk yoghurt you can use any thermometer registering 42-45°C to keep an eye on the temperature through the clear lid of the yoghurt maker. A frothing thermometer is suitable and can be rested across the top of the glass pots while the yoghurt maker is in operation.
