Cascara Compound helps you to have 2 to 3 bowel movements a day, or as many times as you eat. Naturopaths believe this is the healthiest frequency.

Dr Christopher's widely-known formula includes primarily cascara bark as well as turkey rhubarb root, barberry bark, cayenne, fennel, and other herbs.

Take 1 capsule, 3 times a day, with food or a drink. If desired, up to four times this amount can safely be taken. After 6 months reduce the amount or stop altogether to check whether the body still needs herbal support.

Cautions:

Drink an extra 1 to 2 glasses of water a day when taking Cascara Compound.

Do not use if pregnant or nursing.

Do not use more than the standard amount alongside heart drugs, steroids or diuretics.
