Why should we use an Air Ioniser?

Many of us live and/or work in environments where the levels of negative ions are reduced because of high levels of pollution – electronic and particulate. These environments are characterised by feeling ‘dead’ or flat. The opposite is an atmosphere where one feels alive, energised, a sense of wellness, the sort of feeling you get when you stand beside a waterfall. In these environments there is a high level of natural negative ions.

Negative ions are one of nature’s natural sweepers. They aid in the destruction of airborne bacteria by oxidative action and they clear dust, pollen, smoke and small particles from the atmosphere. They tend to predominate in stale, polluted and smoky air, in cities, in indoor air, in the heavy atmosphere before thunderstorms etc. Further, dirt, dust, synthetic materials, TVs, VDUs, electronic equipment and even central heating radiators and other large expanses of metal also tend to reduce the number of negative ions in the atmosphere.
