Champion Juicer: Oil Seal

The oil seal needs replacing every 2 to 6 years depending on how often the Champion Juicer is used and how well the oil seal has been maintained - we recommend wiping the seal with olive oil after every use to keep it in top condition.

Replace the oil seal if a gap appears between the stainless steel cutter shaft and the circular black rubber seal through which the shaft protrudes.

Such a gap might allow juice to leak through onto the triac board and so short it out. Replace the seal immediately upon the appearance of any sign of wear.

The new oil seal comes with instructions for installation.

NB: You might prefer to buy a new Bell Hub instead. It comes already fitted with a new oil seal and is easier to replace.

Try not to let this happen to your Champion Juicer. If you check your Champion oil seal on a regular basis for signs of wear and tear, then you will see when the oil seal* needs replacing and will prevent juice leaking through onto the triac board like this. But don't worry - even if this does happen to your juicer, it can be repaired easily and inexpensively. There is little else that will stop a Champion Juicer from working continuously, year after year.

*Instead of replacing just the oil seal, alternatively you can replace the whole bell hub which comes already fitted with a new oil seal. It is easier to replace the bell hub and this will brighten up your juicer too, but it is more economical to replace just the oil seal.
