All of these juicers are capable of juicing tough, fibrous wheatgrass and similar greens. Some can also juice fruit and vegetables, but the slower speed usually required for juicing wheatgrass means that most of these juicers will not handle fruit, especially pulpy fruit, as well as the Champion Juicer. Until recently, it was difficult to juice wheatgrass in a Champion Juicer because it tended to get stuck on the cutter teeth, but now there is a NEW CHAMPION WHEAT GRASS ATTACHMENT, that effectively turns the Champion into a single auger juicer making it the fastest wheat grass juicer we know of. Using the Champion Juicer with the attachment makes light work of juicing all leafy greens quickly and effectively.
Other all round juicers capable of juicing everything are the single auger Oscar Juicers, the Nutri-SquEASE Max, Juiceproducer KT100 and Hurom Slow Juicers, and the twin gear Green Power Kempo and larger Green Star Elite electric juicers. The Kempo and Elite give the best quality wheatgrass juice. For those with a smaller budget the improved single auger Matstone is an excellent choice and we believe it is the best value of the lowest priced masticating juicers on the market. It too can juice fruit, vegetables and wheatgrass, but is not recommended if you want to juice lots of fruit.
Some people choose to buy a separate wheatgrass-specific juicer. The Lexen manual wheatgrass juicer is a good budget model that operates like an old fashioned manual mincer, while the BL-30 Wheatgrass Juicers are easier to use and care for.
