Unlike other masticating juicers, its 1/3rd horsepower motor is housed in a strong cast metal casing, not brittle plastic, and there are no internal plastic gears to break, and no speed reduction gear boxes to break down. The full power of the motor is delivered where it is needed to break up even the hardest root vegetables without breaking or jamming the motor. The robust Champion motor will almost certainly outlast any other electric juicer, even if that juicer's warranty period is longer. Many of the Champion Juicers we sold in the 1980s, and even some originals sold in America since the 1950s are still working today.
The Champion's juicing parts are made of rugged nylon and stainless steel and they are practically unbreakable. In over 30 years of selling this tough juicer we have never seen a Champion Juicer's cutter or juicing screen break. We cannot say the same for other juicers' augers, twin gears or juicing screens. So if you want a heavy-duty juicer that will keep working for you - possibly for a lifetime or two - then the Champion is your best choice.
