I qualified as an osteopath in 1968 from the British School of Osteopathy.
Since then I have practised in London, always combining this with teaching. I have taught osteopaths both in the UK and the United States.

In1987 I helped to set up the postgraduate studies department of the European School of Osteopathy. From 1989 to 1995 I was head of the department, working on the first masters degree course in osteopathy and running a variety of postgraduate and professional CPD programmes. More recently I have been part of a small team at the University of Westminster, teaching neurology to students of acupuncture and homoeopathy.

In the past I have been active in the General Council and Register of
Osteopaths, the largest of the voluntary registration bodies that preceded
the statutory General Osteopathic Council. I was a long serving member of the Public Relations Sub-committee and for several years was a Council member. I am currently a member of the Osteopathic Continuing Professional Development Council.

I now work at the City Health Centre, a group practice of acupuncturists, homoeopaths and osteopaths, set up by John Morley and the late Robin Rusher. Some of us have worked together for over ten years, sharing ideas and sometimes working together on patients. Our patients are drawn mainly from people working in city offices but we also serve a small residential area. This means we see a wide variety of patients from pregnant women and young babies to elderly people. I use a variety of osteopathic approaches though the main focus is osteopathy in the cranial field.
