A study carried out by researchers from the University of Perugia in Italy has found that eating vegetables every day adds two years to your life. The study of more than 1,500 middle aged men found that those who eat 60 grams of vegetables a day live longer than those who eat less than 20 grams a day. Smokers in particular were said to benefit from more veg and the findings are said to increase doubts about the long-term effects of the Atkins diet
