Guidelines for choosing your course of treatment : Orthodox or Alternative?
by Amy Louise Ralston, MBAcC, MZBA, Kosmed Uk
1. Ask yourself and/or your doctor, "Is time a factor in treating this illness? Do I have time to explore a more wholistic approach or do I need more urgent medical treatment to stabilise my condition? Remember that 93% of all illness is chronic (has developed over time) and not acute (needing immediate attention).

2. Ask yourself and your doctor/practitioner, "Will the treatment you are
offering help my body's own healing mechanism re-engage with the potential
to heal the problem?" "Does the treatment you are offering have side
effects?" "If a treatment gives me side effects, will I need more treatment
to counteract the side effects?"

3. What is the cost of the treatment you choose, in both monetary terms and
perhaps, especially, in terms of long term health benefits (i.e., will side effects produce another problem which will need more time and attention?)
