Book Review : The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle
by Angela Herold, RGN
This book is full of simplicity and clarity about our 'Being' and the huge dimension of the Now, which most of us experience as just a fleeting moment, compressed into the gap between past and future.

Eckhart Tolle shows us in a few, clear and precise words and analogies how we can extend this moment of Now into a new experience of our true self.

We can do this by using our body and entering our inner body to ground us and let us grow into spiritual beings, who have overcome the confinement of time, past and future. This is by letting go of our rational mind, which at times deceives us by creating fear and confusion about who we really are, and by living the present fully, recognizing that its abundance has nothing to do with what we have, but with who we are.

He describes a number of simple, meditative techniques, which will ultimately help us to develop inner peace and stillness and allow us to access a path into the depths of our potential for health and recognition of our true self.

The amazing 'side-effect' this book has on the reader is that it not only nourishes the soul, but simultaneously its content also seems to perfuse the body, prompting us to pause and slow down and feel 'The Power of Now'.
