I run a private practice in Wiltshire called "Centre for Nutritional Excellence" and produce individualised programmes for all health concerns incorporating a combination of modalities to suit each person's needs. The programmes are truly wholistic as the modalities are designed to encourage physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing, and include optimum nutrition, lifestyle management, counselling, psychotherapy, fitness training, therapeutic massage, aromatherapy reiki, kinesiology, iridology, sports therapy and sports massage.
I am a writer and researcher into all areas of health and for the last three years have written the "Nutritional Approaches" page in "Positive Health" magazine.
I am also a single parent with three wonderful sons.
Brief summary of Education
I trained as a teacher of Physical Education and English and Education am an NVQ assessor. I then went on to study nutrition, counselling, kinesiology, iridology, massage, aromatherapy, fitness training, sports therapy, sports and therapeutic massage and reiki. I did further training in America studying psychotherapy and advanced nutrition gaining an M.Sc and Ph.D. in nutrition.
Brief Summary of Career
I have 28 years experience in health care. I taught physical education, health studies and English for 12 years and then worked as a research assistant at Leeds University focussing on the development of educational resource material in health and physical education. After having my children I worked for a private company as the "Programme Director of Nutrition". The "British Association of Nutritional Therapists" has accredited the "Diploma in Optimum Nutrition" course, which I wrote and taught. I then went on to write distance-learning courses in nutrition, anatomy and physiology, which were accredited by the "Open College Network". Throughout the last eleven years I have also run a private practice. In October 2000 I decided to concentrate wholeheartedly on my practice and to my commitment to myself of continued education, research and understanding of people and disease states so that I can help people to heal effectively in the shortest possible time.
